Do the vehicles include insurance?

All vehicles are covered by insurance with specific liability deductibles. However, for each vehicle, it is possible to select the additional insurance option that best suits your needs. We recommend reviewing the specific coverage conditions in the vehicle listing to choose the ideal option.

What are the driver requirements?

The driver must be at least 19 years old. Some vehicles may require a higher minimum age. A valid driving license held for at least one year is required.

Is a credit card required?

It is possible to make reservations without a credit card, using a debit card for tolls (Via Verde), as long as the vehicle owner is present at the time of pick-up. However, for residents in Portugal, a credit card is mandatory.

How does the payment for the reservation work?

When finalizing the reservation, a prepayment will be required by CarPin. The remaining balance must be paid directly to our partner at the time of vehicle pick-up, and can be done via card or in cash.

How does the reservation confirmation work?

After the request is made on the website, the customer will receive an email confirming the order. A reservation voucher will then be sent, which must be presented on the day of the rental.

Is there a shuttle service (transport)?

The CarPin partner rent-a-cars offer a shuttle service, which involves transporting the customer from the arrival terminal to the service desk, where the vehicle will be picked up.

How do reservations work with less than 24 hours' notice?

Vehicles available for rent with less than 24 hours’ notice are not displayed on the website. For bookings within that timeframe, it is necessary to contact CarPin directly to confirm availability.

Is the availability of vehicles and models shown guaranteed?

We do not guarantee specific brands or models of the vehicles displayed on the website. However, we ensure that the vehicle provided will always be equivalent to the one selected in terms of category and features.

What is the reservation cancellation policy?

In case of cancellation, the amount paid will be refunded almost in full, with only a small fee for bank charges deducted. However, if the cancellation is not communicated in advance, the prepayment may not be refunded.

What is the fuel policy?

The fuel policy of our partners is simple: the car must be returned with the same amount of fuel it was delivered with. If the vehicle is not returned with the same level of fuel, a refueling fee will be charged, along with an additional amount for the fuel needed to fill the tank.

Can I return the vehicle at any time?

Yes, all vehicles listed on our website can be returned at the time you choose, according to the option selected during the booking process. We have a flexible 24-hour return system, allowing you to return the car at the most convenient time for you. We just ask that you follow the instructions provided at the time of booking to ensure a smooth return.

What should I do to pick up the vehicle when I arrive at the terminal?

When you arrive at the terminal, please follow the instructions provided in the confirmation document of your reservation. This document will include details about the exact location you should head to, as well as the meeting point for picking up the vehicle.
